XIR® Encapsulated Glass
 The barriers of use large expanses of glass windows, skylights, structural or non-structural facades, point fixed applications as well as bent and curved glass with compromising cooling loads and visual clarity has no more existed. XIR® high performance "Heat Rejecting" Film encapsulated in a laminated glass creating a color neutral, energy efficient product with exceptional solar control properties. XIR® rates in the top end for solar control glass products and has the key benefits of an exceptionally high light-transmission of 72% while offering greater reduction in solar heat gain (0.47 Shading Coefficient) and isolation of infrared and Ultraviolet (IR transmission 6%, UV transmission 0.03%). This is comparable and in many cases superior, to the higher end heavily tinted or reflective solar control products.

 

XIR® PET film can be laminated with annealed, heat strengthened, or tempered clear glass, Low-E coated glass or combined with tinted PVB and tinted glass.
